Visit from Shiree

Its is that time of year again - our very own local artist Shiree is back.

She has been working with the children, making some amazing spiral paintings as well as very woolly sheep.  You can see more pictures at our Gallery.

Bye Bye Sam

Sam is leaving us to travel around South America for 3 months!

An amazing adventure we are all proud he is taking on. Sam has been an absolute integral part to the DVPS team, and I know that both the staff and the children will miss him terribly.

Good luck Sam, thanks for all the hard work (and the cake).

You will be missed

World Book Day!!

I am sure you all noticed that March the 5th was World Book Day (thank you for your £1 donations)

There were some great costumes at the preschool: I personally saw a Batman, an Optimus Prime, a Pirate and Skeleton, as well as a Peppa Pig, a Piano Robber, a Ladybug and lots of princesses.

We will try and get pictures of them all but for now, here is a taster.

Hedgehog Bread Rolls

Cooking is always a great activity for the kids to do.

They don't just get to learn a lot (about different ingredients, taking instructions, food hygiene), they also get to have fun!

This week the children made their own hedgehog bread roll.  They got to mould the bread into the shape of a hedgehog and cut into the dough to make the spikes - all by themselves.

And of course, they get to eat it too.  As my son said as he pointed to the inside of the roll; 'there is bread inside!'
