Our Garden

Not only are we surrounded by green fields, we also have an enclosed playground area for the children to enjoy.  Our Wendy house, pirate ships (yes, we have two!) slide, tricycles, water and sand tables all add to the fun.

We also have a wonderful vegetable garden where lots of planting takes place.  Led by Nanny Pam, work in the vegetable garden is a great chance for the children to learn about flowers, growing seeds, fruits and vegetables, as well as explore its usual visitors - slugs, snails and spiders.

So far we have grown runner beans, tomatoes, courgettes, peas, spring onions, potatoes and carrots.  All find their way into the kitchen and are used in a number of dishes prepared with the children such as fresh salads, rhubarb and crumble, and leek and potato soup.
