Butterfly Garden
There was so much to learn and explore with this great little project!
Life cycle, patience, patterns, science and metamorphosis! Not forgetting the fun of watching the transition from egg, caterpillar, chrysalis and finally - butterfly.
Afterwards, the children created some colourful artwork following the release of the butterflies in our garden.
We also explored books about bugs but focused on 'The very Hungry Caterpillar' as inspiration for some more great artwork, and story telling of our own.
